The main goal of this article is to help you improve your English level. I will use Simple English to introduce to you the concepts related to software development. In terms of IT knowledge, it might have been explained better and more clearly on the internet, but remember that the main target of this article is still to LEARN ENGLISH.

Hi, I'm Tuan, a Full-stack Web Developer from Tokyo 😊. Follow my blog to not miss out on useful and interesting articles in the future.

Google has become a part of our daily lives, providing answers to our questions and solutions to our problems. But did you know that there are many Google tricks that most people don't know about? Here are 10 Googling tricks that most people don't know about:

Use Google's Advanced Search.

Google's Advanced Search feature can help you refine your search by letting you specify the language, region, file type, and even the date of the results you want to see. You can access this feature by clicking on the "Settings" button located at the bottom of the search results page.

Search for synonyms.

If you're looking for alternative words to use in your writing, you can use the tilde (~) symbol to search for synonyms. For example, searching for "~healthy recipes" will give you results for both "healthy" and "nutritious" recipes.

Search for similar websites.

If you're looking for websites that are similar to the one you're currently on, you can use the "related:" operator before the website URL. For example, searching for "related:nytimes.com" will show you websites that are similar to The New York Times.

Search for results within a specific range.

If you're looking for search results within a specific range, such as a certain price range, you can use the ".." operator. For example, searching for "best laptops $500..$700" will give you results for laptops within that price range.

Use Google as a dictionary.

You can use Google as a dictionary by simply searching for "define" followed by the word you want to define. For example, searching for "define procrastination" will give you the definition of the word.

Use Google as a calculator.

You can use Google as a calculator by simply typing in a mathematical equation in the search bar. For example, searching for "4*5" will give you the result "20."

Search for results within a specific website section.

If you're looking for results within a specific section of a website, such as a subdomain or a directory, you can use the "site:" operator followed by the website URL and the section you want to search. For example, searching for "site:wikipedia.org/wiki/Python" will give you results for pages within the "Python" directory on Wikipedia.

Search for results by file type.

If you're looking for specific file types, such as PDFs or Word documents, you can use the "filetype:" operator followed by the file extension you want to search for. For example, searching for "best resume filetype:pdf" will give you results for PDF resumes.

Search for an exact match.

If you're looking for an exact match for a phrase, you can put the phrase in quotes. For example, searching for "best pizza in New York City" in quotes will give you results for that exact phrase.

Use Google to convert units and measurements.

You can use Google to convert units and measurements by typing in the measurement you want to convert and the unit you want to convert it to. For example, searching for "10 miles to kilometers" will give you the result "16.09344 kilometers."

In conclusion, these ten Googling tricks can help you search more efficiently and effectively. By using them, you can save time and get more accurate results. So the next time you use Google, try out some of these tricks and see how they can improve your search experience.
